Frequently Asked Questions

Q) Where are classes & performances held?

A) All classes & performances are held at Meadow Brook Theatre on the campus of Oakland University. We also perform smaller shows for benefits and community events.

Q) How do I enroll my child in classes?

A) Enrollment in each class is limited. Email peanutgalleryplayers@gmail.com to request a spot in class. If space is available, you will receive a confirmation email instructing you to send in the registration forms and payment. Enrollment in any class is not final until receipt of all forms and payment.

Q) When is payment due?

A) Payment is due with registration. We do offer a “2 pay option” plan for an additional $10. With that option, the first payment is due with registration and the second payment is due about halfway through the term. You will receive a reminder notice. For your convenience, we now accept credit card payments through Paypal.

Q) Do I owe the $20 registration fee? I'm a returning student.

A) This $20 fee is payable once, per family, each calendar year (September - August).

Q) How can we be considered for a Scholarship?

A) Please complete the scholarship form found and mail with registration. The board will review and render a decision in a timely manner. If funds are no longer available when we receive your request, and you choose not to participate in Peanut Gallery Players classes, all money paid will be reimbursed.

Q) How many students are in each class?

A) This varies per class, but generally speaking the minimum is 5 and the maximum is 24. The exception is the SUMMER MUSICAL CONSERVATORY program which accepts up to 65 students.

Q) My child is a little younger than the class he/she wants to take. Can he/she move into the next class?

A) If enrollment space allows, we do occasionally accept a younger student into an older class providing the actor has previous experience. An audition is required.

Q) Do you offer anything for an older student?

A) Yes. We offer a 3 week film workshop for students ages 14 through adult based on interest and availability. We will offer more Saturday workshops for the older student during the Winter/Spring semester. Enrollment is extremely limited.
